Gee Whiz, what an album! One thing I can say about Ozzy is his ability to surround himself with outstanding musicians and this album is loaded with top notch musicians. I am very happy to see the return of Ozzy's old band mate, Tony Iommi., and those are two of the best tracks on the album. I have been riding the Ozzy train most of my adult life and this album doesn't disappoint.
Ozzy's health issues have been well documented the past few years, however, he doesn't sound frail or disabled on Patient Number 9. You can tell that his life expectancy thoughts are represented on the album in the song titles and lyrics. I am taking the album title as a play on his mortality of '9 lives" (which was a documentary) or "Patient Number 9". The Prince of Darkness has returned for the 13th time! Get ready to rock, my head banging friends.......
