This band is a victim of their own ability to write and record hit songs. Most people only know "Born to be wild", "Magic Carpet Ride", and "The Pusher". But this band has so many great songs in their portfolio, they don't even all fit on a greatest hits album. The album Steppenwolf 16 Greatest Hits, doesn't even cover all their great songs, and it has 16 songs! My favorite Steppenwolf album is 7, followed by Monster. I don't have a favorite song, but I love every song on both 7 and Monster, definitely give those two albums a spin if you don't know their catalog.
