All of a sudden, over the last couple of days, I've developed a bit of a hankering for some In This Moment. (I blame Lady Gaga and her newest album,
Chromatica, for that. Taking a chance on her reminded me of Maria Brink's somewhat similar appearance/aesthetic.) I didn't like either of their last two albums,
Black Widow and
Ritual, all that much, save for some of the singles. To be honest, I'm not even sure that I got all the way through both of them.
After hearing "The In-Between" not too long after they released it as a single, I wasn't even going to listen to their latest album,
Mother. On a whim, I went back to it today, and I was just kinda like "ehh, it's aight." Then, in the sidebar, I found these two songs, "As Above So Below" and "God Is She," and yeah, they're both pretty good. I think I'm gonna go ahead and give
Mother a chance and see what happens.
