Currently cranking up the first "Ripper" Judas Priest album

As I alluded to in another thread, Elize Ryd is a gorgeous woman, but I have never liked Amaranthe's album The Nexus, and Amaranthe in particular has never been one of my favorite bands. They've made a song or two here and there that I've liked, but that's it. That being said, I was really tired yesterday and decided to give The Nexus a spin, and somehow, some way, it really hit the spot, which made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.

I decided to listen to it again today to see if this was just some strange, fatigue-fueled aberration, but nope, it apparently wasn't. I think I might actually like this thing, folks. I may have to listen to the two other albums of theirs that I own and haven't liked in the past, Massive Addictive and Maximize.

Don't judge me, y'all!

I like both of the first two albums from Steelheart, but Tangled In Reigns is a killer rocker where the debut was loaded with ballads....not that that is a bad thing, I'm just in the mood to rock today.

Celtic Frost and their successor, Triptykon, are two awesome bands fronted by the same guy, Thomas Gabriel Fischer, aka Tom G. Warrior. I wish I could listen to Morbid Tales in its entirety tonight. Alas, it's bedtime.

I like both albums, but LOVE the debut. I didn't know diddly squat about Steelheart until I saw them open up for Lynch Mob back in 1990 (or was it '91). I was blown away by them. Went out the next day (maybe it was 2 days later) and bought that first CD. Damn good band!

Sophomore album from Wytch Hazel, a UK heavy metal / hard rock band. II: Sojourn was released July 13, 2018. Excellent album. The album has a Wishbone Ash, Thin Lizzy, and Jethro Tull vibe.
